This coffee is a genuine Antigua, from the best-known coffee-producing region in Guatemala. It is grown on plantations at around 1650m, in the valleys of the Agua, Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes. The former capital of Guatemala and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Antigua, is nearby. Because of their situation, the plantations have rich volcanic soil, high levels of humidity (~65%) and plenty of sun (temperatures ~19-22°C). A bedrock of pumice stone helps retain moisture to create fertile soil. All these factors help lead to a fantastic cup of coffee - fruity, rich and full of body.
You will savour the spicy flavour and very rich, even velvety textures that lead to this refreshing and fulfilling brew. It has a floral and citrus aroma, with strong hints of chocolate and caramel. 100% Arabica beans.
